NELL KUHLMAN, badly jostled about going to the first turn, worked her way up fast, increased her advantage on the stretch turn and outlasted ADSUM, but was disqualified for fouling when she bore out in the stretch. ADSUM began fast, withstood pressure gamely while being forced wide by NELL KUHLMAN in the closing three-sixteenths, but failed to get up. VERITY BALLOT, close up from the start, saved much ground and held on gamely. BEAUTY SECRET began slowly, lost much ground and closed resolutely. DONNA DEAR could not get up. LAZY MARY was in close quarters early. COTTON TIME began fast, but was taken back under restraint and failed to respond. LOYAL LOUIE tired. BOX OFFICE showed speed, but her rider was forced to ease up when he lost a stirrup iron. CHIMNEY SWEEP showed speed from the start, drew into a good lead quickly when the other leaders became entangled in a bad jam on the far turn, easily maintained command thereafter and had speed to spare. GRAND PRINCE began fast, was crowded back on the far turn, but recovered quickly and, disposing of SQUEAKY, closed gamely. WILD CHILD, in close quarters early, went to the outside on the turn and withstood urging. SQUEAKY, always on the outside, snowed speed. REPROOF had a rough race. ETON-ARDO, forced back when EIGHTY TWENTY quit suddenly, did not recover. EIGHTY TWENTY met interference. ABDEL, much the best, began slowly, but drew away fast near the final eighth, maintained good speed and won wiih something to spare. WEIDELEEN, a factor throughout and forced back on the stretch turn, withstood the drive gamely and outlasted JUSTINIAN. The latter, outrun for a half mile, closed with a rush. FIDDLER, hard .urged from the start, dropped back on the stretch turn. ANGRY appeared to be thrown off stride when a hind bandage became unfastened after going an eighth. BROAD MEADOWS met interference soon after the start, followed the pacemaker under restraint and, closing resolutely after being forced wide by SILVERDALE on the stretch turn, disposed of the latter and won drawing out. SILVERDALE bore in sharply going to the first turn, showed good speed and, tiring badly on the stistch turn, abruptly careened to the inside in the last sixteenth. WOTAN saved much ground, withstood pressure, but was interfered with near the end. SPANISH PLAY, crowded back early, lost ground on the first turn and was racing strongly when impeded by SILVERDALE. SARIETTA, fractious at the post and starting outside the machine, showed speed, but bore over sharply near the turn and tired badly. STONE MARTIN saved ground on the first turn, was crowded back in the last half and, going to the outside in the stretch, closed boldly. GETTIN EVEN saved ground and tired in the stretch. FRUMPER, under restraint all the way, forced back STONE MARTIN, DURVA and BLOT when he bore over on the far turn, then tired. BLOT was pulled up to a canter when impeded. NYACK quit. CLARET was under strong urging all the way. OLD BILL, on the inside throuchout, helo on well. ED REESE closed fast.
