j ; H1ALEAH PARK GOSSIP J Victor Schaumberg, secretary of the Westchester Racing Association, arrived over the week end, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grossman. The metropolitan official inspected the course under the guidance of John Keegan, track superintendent, and Elmer Fred, trainer of Mr. Grossmans establishment. Robert Leischman, contract jockey for G. D. Widener, was a happy boy Monday. Mrs. Leischman arrived from California with a six months old daughter, which the proud husband had never seen. Gov. Doyle Carlton, of the state of Florida, will be the guest of Joseph E. Widener and the Miami Jockey Club at Hialeah Park Thursday. Jockey Pete Walls reported ill and cancelled his mount for the afternoon. He was engaged to ride Clean Play in the first race.
