McNAIRS PROMISING COLTS NEW YORK, N. Y., Feb. 8 William Mc-Nair has two promising juveniles wintering at Belmont Park this year. One is the property of Mrs. Charles Fleischmann, while the other will carry McNairs own silks. After February 15 McNairs stable will be augmented by two jumpers. The juvenile that will carry the silks of Mrs. Fleischmann was bred by Mr. Fleischmann at his Long Island farm. He is a dark bay or brown colt by Bou Chaib, from La Marsa. Both sire and dam were imported here by Mr. Fleischmann. Bou Chaib ran some fairly good races on the flat at the New York tracks a couple of years ago, while La Marsa was tried at steeplechasing. Their son is well coupled, with large shoulders, great quarters and a wide back. He is particularly deep through the heart. This colt, which will be known to racing as Champs Elysees, has cleanly-shaped legs, well set under him. He shows great resemblance to his sire. The McNair colt is a brown son of Coventry from Preference, and has been named Stop Quick. He is of the racy type, with low withers and high quarters. He is well boned, with nicely shaped legs and his intelligent head is set on a finely-arched neck. He is an even-dispositioned individual and impresses as a cole that will not require much training to be made ready for the Xaces.
