DERBY TRIAL CLOSES SATURDAY NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 19. Nominations for the ,000 added Derby Trial Handicap, important and final preliminary test of three-year-olds for the 0,000 added Louisiana Derby, to be run on the closing day of the meeting, are closing Saturday at midnight. The Derby Trial, at one mile, will be run Saturday, February 27, and aside from Lucky Tom, which will contest the Florida Derby at Hialeah Park on that day, should engage all the leading colts, geldings and fillies of that age here. An entry fee of 0 per subscription and 5 starting fee prevails. Weights will be posted next Wednesday.
