FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES s Knebelkamp and Morris will send a. division of their stable in charge of Joe Umensetter, who will have six or seven to race for the stable. With the Bainbridge Park spring meeting opening May 21, the closing day of the Aurora season, a large number of the horsemen going to the near-Chicago track will shift activities to Bainbridge following the Aurora season. Harry Haney, wha came down from Baton Rouge to attend yesterdays charity meeting, returned to that city last night. Jockey Harry Roble, injured yesterday, decided to take the day off but resumes riding Tuesday. M. T. Mockler has taken over the three-year-old Quando to train for J. F. ONeil and will saddle him for his engagement in the Sheridan Clarke Purse today. Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidt left by motor for their home in Chicago Sunday. Mr. Schmidt is the owner of the Superior Stable. J. McPherson took a call on another apprentice for the Beauregard Claiming Stakes when he signed J. Neel for the Saturday feature today.
