KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 20.— The Missouri racing season of 1932 will open Saturday when the Riverside Park Jockey Club open its gates for the spring meeting of twenty-five or more days. The g.andstand, which recently was destroyed by fire, has been rebuilt and completely finished, with a largely increased seating capacity and more conveniences for the patrons of this popular course. Every stable on the track is filled to capacity with thoroughbreds in condition to race, while many others are stabling at Smithville. Every available barn on the surrounding farms has been rented by horsemen that were unable to secure stabling accommodations on the inside. Eight races will be run opening day and, among the entries are a higher grade of platers than have previously performed here. The City Manager H. F. McElroy Inaugural Handicap will have the place of honor on the card, and this attracted a field well known to the racing fans here. This race will be decided over the one-mile route, and the Oak Tree Stables Bahamas was given the honor with 118 pounds. Of the original twenty-two named, twelve accepted the weights assigned them. Next to Bahamas comes M. Syufys Morpheus, with 110. Dacite, consistent winner during the winter racing, is in with 107. Others accepting the weights are H. M. Woolfs Out Bound, Miss A.
