Start good out of machine. Won driving; second and third the same. CONTRIBUTE moved into command after the start, was rated along steadily, raced PEACOCK ALLEY into defeat and held BRANDON ROSE safe. The latter began slowly, worked her way up steadily and finished resolutely. CHARON, on the outside of the leaders, outlasted HAGGERSON. The latter raced forwardly and had no mishaps. PEACOCK ALLEY worked his way up on the inside, then quit. PRINCE BARTON raced evenlv. ZAIDEE saved ground all the way. Start good and slow. Won driving ; second and third easily. ARC LIGHT, taken back under restrained, moved up fast on the final turn of the field and, finishing resolutely in the final sixteenth, was up to win in" the closing strides. AZUCAR jumped boldly, showed good speed, was rated along steadily and was restrained to permit his stablemate to win. BEACON HILL, under early restraint, moved up steadily, but was in close quarters at the end. SYDNEY, a factor all the wav, tired at the finish. INCEPTION was outrun. EQUIPOISE, under restraint until called upon, moved up with a rush near the far turn and, disposing of PILATE in the stretch, drew away and had speed to spare. SUN MEADOW, outrun early, responded well when called upon and finished gamely. MATE, slow to start, closed fast in the stretch. PILATE set a fast early pace, raced EPITHET into defeat, then tired.
