i , OHIO STATE DERBY FIELD Twelve Starters Assured, With Economic Favorite Due to Withdrawal of Boatswain. , ; CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 31.— The latest forecast is for a field of twelve starters in the Ohio State Derby, to be run at Bainbridge Park Saturday. Boatswain has been withdrawn because of his hard race last Saturday at Belmont Park when he won the Withers Stakes in which Burgoo King was unplaced. Economic will probably rule favorite for the big race Saturday and his opponents will come from the following: Our Fancy, Texas Knight, The Hun, Minton, Butter Beans, Penchant, Orloff, Nell Kuhlman, Madwind, Springsteel, Open Hearth, Adobe Post, Hoops, Sunmelus, Sandwrack, Merrily On, Royal Lassie, Justa Sheik and Monks First. Clarence Buxton, trainer of J. C. Louch-heims Economic, wired that his colt will be shipped here today from Belmont Park. Mr. Buxton and Mr. Louchheim will arrive Friday morning. In the car with the Derby crack are four two-year-olds which will be raced at Bainbridge Trainer William Irvine, of the S. W. La-brot stable, today wired that his horses have left Toronto and are due to arrive at Bainbridge Park late tonight. The shipment in eluded the Ohio Derby candidate Springsteel, conqueror of Tick On in the latters first start of the year. Tred Avon, the good handicap mare, is expected in the shipment. C. H. "Pat" Knebelkamp sent word from Chicago that his Derby candidate Adobe Post was shipped last night to Bainbridge along with Dick Morris, which is expected to start here on Saturday. It was announced by secretary Julius Ree-der that A. B. Letelliers Sazerac is out of training and will not be a starter in the Derby. R. M. Eastmans Cathop was withdrawn.
