WHITNEY YEARLINGS GO EAST LEXINGTON, Ky., June 17. Thirty-three smart yearlings, bred at Cornelius Vander-bilt Whitneys thoroughbred nursery here, entrained early this morning for Brookdale Farm, the Whitney estate, at Red Bank, N. J. There they will be broken, wintered and prepared for their debut as racers next season. Most striking of the lot, appearance considered, is the chestnut colt by Pennant, from Nemesis. Men of the farm refer to him as Calico Dick. He is more like a pinto than any thoroughbred ever seen in thye parts. He has four white stockings, a white face and a great splotch of white on his near side. Clockers will never have any trouble identifying him. Besides his striking color- ing, he is also one of the largest and stoutest of the colts. 1
