LAT0NIA TURF NOTES : f The two-year-olds Black Rotha and San joined the horses that Edward Haughton has here in charge of Joe Tigue. "Johnny Daniels, trainer of the Southland Stable, suffered a broken finger on his left hand while playing baseball Tuesday. Cecil Howard unloaded Half Day, which was shipped from Washington Park. Jockeys Leslie Pichon and W. Edwards were arrivals. Pichon came from Chicago and will ride free lance. Edwards is with the F. P. Letellier stable. Schooling of horses has been in order since Monday under the direction of William Hamiltons assistants vand with the in tip top shape, nothing remains to Slant e finished for the opening. The-pretentious stable that Walter Taylor is training for F. A. Carreaud, Texas patron, arrived from Washington Park Wednesday morning: Included in the shipment were the stake eligibles Jean Lafitte, Va Carriendo, Kincsen and Primute. The latter, a winner at the Homewood course, is eligible for the Clipsetta Stakes. Taylor stated that, barring accident, she would fill her engagement. Others in the Carreaud string include Por ters Dream, The Spaniard, Ever Faithful and Duelist. In the event that R. M. Eastmans Cathop continues to train satisfactorily, his brother, Tommy Taylor, will send the colt here for his Latonia Derby engagement. Other arrivals from Chicago were the horses of J. W. Parrish, F. C. McAtee, Walter Ridenour, the Ridgeview Stock Farm. Willie Crump came in charge of the Parrish horses and several of his own. Li. C. Veatch unloaded Billies Orphan, a Clipsetta eligible, and several platers. Walter Ridenour brought Lanier, while Wise Ann was accompanied by a pony. Albert Lewis brought Ridgeview, Ridge Wise, Ridge .Lady, Glamorous and Olamay for the locally owned Ridgeview Stock Farm, which is the property of W. F. Haus-man. Prince Megan, Newshawk, Eleanora M., Court Memoir and Gammerson comprised the van load that George V. Barnes sent from the Downs. C. C. Patterson received the two-year-olds Loyal Louie and Gay Nell from Lexington. Loyal Louie will race in the interest of P. T Chinn, while Gay Nell is the property of Drake and Lyne. .
