DISTINGUISHED VISITOR HOMEWOOD, 111., June 23 Mrs. Al Smith, wife of the former governor of New York, witnessed the sport from Col. Matt Winns clubhouse box today. She was accompanied to the track by a party of friends. She stated it is the plan of former governor Smith to attend the races Saturday in cam-pany with Jouett Shouse, John Raskob and John F. Curry.
