MARVINA, steadied back of the pace, moved up with a brilliant burst of speed rounding the turn, made a stout effort to reach the leader, but was not good enough. PRINCESS ZELDA, quickest to begin, was steadied along in front, withstood a determined bid from SUDDEN, but was not good enough for the winner in the final drive. BOBBIE R. saved ground entering the stretch and finished gamely. PETULANT made up ground. SPECTACULAR came with good courage in the last three-eighths. SUDDEN quit badly after going three-quarters.
