Start good out of machine. Won ridden out; second and third driving. MOUNTAIN ELK moved into command early and, rated along under steady restraint, saved ground and won with speed to spare. MARTIS raced close up all the way and outlasted RACCOON in the last strides. The latter overcame early interference, went to the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished gamely. JAMISON, an early trailer, came through on the inside entering the stretch and finished with a rush. TUG-O WAR had no mishaps. CAMBAL quit badly in the stretch. KNOCKENARRIGAN jumped well throughout and, taken back when outrun, moved up with a rush when called upon through the last turn of the field and wore down IRISH BULLET. The latter drew into a long lead and held on well. "MADRIGAL II. moved up resolutely, only to tire at the finish. OUTLAW came through on the inside entering the stretch in the closing half mile, took command at the last fence, then tired. MORNING SUN, close up for the first turn of the field, was eased up when he quit. VAAKfi THIRD RACE 3-4 Mile.
