DIMOCK showed the most speed throughout and was never in serious trouble. DOUBTLESS closed resolutely in the middle of the track. CORVINE began slowly, but outlasted the others after going wide on tha stretch turn. PARKERSBURG saved ground in the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. ARTISTRY also raced wide on the stretch turn, seeking the better going, but lost too much ground. The others tired. ANTHONY WAYNE came strongly on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished fastest of all. ABSURDITY showed early speed. STAR DIXIE closed a big gap. THE NILE raced in the heaviest going next to the rail and tired fast in the stretch. The others were outpaced. DONUP closed up much ground in the last quarter and outstayed PEACE DOVE. The latter had no excuses and tired. BLESS HER HEART was shuffled back at the far turn. ONE LONG HOP quit. GARDEN SEAT acted badly at the post and was started from the extreme outside. CHIEFS GYPSY was a forward factor in the early stages, but tired, as did the remainder. CUPIDITY quit badly after showing early speed.
