RIVERSIDE PARK MEETING Nineteen or More Days of Racing to Begin Tomorrow at Kansas Citys Ever Growing Popular Track, fe KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 2. With everything in readiness, the Riverside Park Jockey Club will usher in, tomorrow, its fall meeting of nineteen or more days. Many improvements have been added during the summer months, the most noticeable being the installation of permanent seats in the grand stand, which should add greatly to the comfort of the patrons of this popular" course. Workmen have been working throughout the week putting on the finishing touches to an already attractive grand stand and club house. Horses that have been performing in higher class races will make up the field for the inaugural days feature race, over the Riverside course, styled the Thomas McGee Handicap, named in honor of Thomas McGee, well known insurance man of Kansas City, and one of the real veterans in the sport of racing. Mr. McGee was connected with Edward Corrigan in the early nineties, when racing was at its peak in Missouri. Mr. McGee will present a traveling bag to the jockey riding the winner of this race. Eight races will be on the opening days offering and of the original twenty-two nominated for the McGee Handicap, ten accepted the weights assigned them by the racing secretary, with Ante Bellum, from the stable of C. Holt, being alloted the heavy impost of 119 pounds. Next in line comes Mrs. M. Eslicks Cold Check, with 118 pounds, closely followed by Satin Spar, from the A. L. Jones stable, with 113 pounds; Porternesia, Fort Worth, Starference, In- dian Game, Making Bubbles and Semester comprise the balance of the field.
