it HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES s. -s Jockey C. Landolt was called before the stewards yesterday and lectured about indifferent riding and was told that the suspension would be lifted at the conclusion of the meeting tonight. The horses of L. T. Whitehill and A. A. Baroni will be campaigned at Lincoln Fields during the early part of that meeting and then will be shipped direct to Tanforan. W. Finnegan, western trainer, will ship the several horses in his care to Riverside Park to take part in the meeting, which opens Saturday. The two-year-old Sun Wave, the property of Chappel Bros., which has been very ill recently, is reported on the mend, while C. W. Hays Scotlands Glory is down with the fever and is not expected to recover. Phil Reuter is making arrangements, to ship the string of John Marsch to Maryland for a fall campaign. Mrs. Reuter, who recently recovered from a serious illness, left for New Orleans last night.
