I ST. JOHNS PARK PASSES J TO ORIGINAL OWNER JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 26 Frank A. Keeney, New York sportsman and theatrical man, has repurchased St. Johns Park, the track midway between here and St. Augustine, Frank A. Schuyler, secretary-treasurer of the Florida Jockey Club, announced today. Schuyler has represented William V. Dwyer and William Gallagher, New York sportsmen, since they purchased the plant from Keeney a few years ago. The track, which was known first as Keeney Park and later called by the Dwyer-Gallagher interests St. Johns Park, has never been a financial success, both groups of owners said. The terms of the sale and other details were not announced by Schuyler. MIAMI, Fla., Sept. 26. "Roddy" Burdine, chairman of the State Racing Commission, denied today the rumor that horse racing dates recently announced would be changed at the commissions next meeting. "Too much of that last year. The dates go as announced for the horse tracks and just as soon as the several elections on greyhound tracks are held the dates will be set for that sport. The next meeting will be about November 1, at Ocala."
