SOEUR BLANCHE, lacking early speed and in close quarters on the turn, moved up fast in the stretch, then tired. HASTY PETER showed early speed. CAPTAIN LOGAN had no mishaps. HELEN BAB was in a tangle soon after the start and again on the stretch turn. CRESTA RUN began very slowly. FIGURISTE showed early speed. MADELON, steadied along for three-quarters, failed to rally when hard urged. BROAD AXE had no excuses. CABAMA was badly outrun.
