FREDDIE HOPKINS INJURED LAUREL, Md., Oct. 13. Fred Hopkins, second trainer for C. V. Whitney and developer of the mighty Equipoise, suffered a painful injury in a motor accident in Washington this morning. He was on his way In a taxi to meet Harry Shillick, when the machine collided with another and turned over."" Hopkins suffered a badly cut scalp and was taken to the Carlton Hotel, where ae was treated.
