1 SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES 9 : The horses of W. H. Travers and Mrs. V; M. Duncan,- headad by the consistent filly Little America, were shipped to Bowie. Travers and Mrs. Duncan remained to take in the first week of the Sportsmans meeting and leave for Maryland Saturday night. F. T. Miller, trainer of Gay Prince, was fined 0 by the stewards for changing the equipment on that horse Wednesday without their permission. Albert Mott is making the engagements for the veteran rider, Nick Burger. Glenn Horn, one of the leading riders in western Canada last summer had his first mount of the meeting Thursday when he rode Bold Robin in the fourth race. He rides at 101 pounds. Conditions books for the second week of the meeting were issued to horsemen Thursday morning. Francis P. Dunne, timer at Sportsmans Park, was accepting congratulations Thursday. It was his birthday. Pat Dwyer was issued a trainers licensie. He arrived with Highland Chief, Meteo Jones, Tom Vernia and Brass Band. Louie Peters, the veteran local trainer, registered the old campaigner, Theo. Red. The veteran races under the North Shore Stable colors. P. D. Sanford arrived with Wildwest, Tussle, Ruley Lee and Miss Avondale. , The first horses to be placed on the schooling list by Tom Brown were White Flame, Uforme and Miss Ramsey. Jockey H. Hutton has been suspended for five days for rough riding on Nick D. in the third race Thursday.
