SLASH, under strong urging in the final three-eighths, failed to improve his position. JAZ AGE tired in the stretch. NEW BABY, away slowly and far back for three-sixteenths, improved her position steadily and, wearing down KIEVETTE, was up to win in the closing strides. The latter, restrained on the turn, impeded FLYING ON before drawing clear and tired badly in the last fifty yards. PERFECT DREAM was in the deeper going for three eighths and, taken behind when KIEVETTE moved up on the outside on the stretch turn, tired under pressure. PLAYING ON showed speed from the start, met interference and tired badly. ANNIE ORMONT had no mishaps. POLLY E. showed early speed. The latter had- speed, was well rated and weakened in the final three-sixteenths. CORBEAU flattened out badly when strongly urged in the final eighth.
