EXPECT TANFORAN EXTENSION SAN BRUNO, Calif.; Oct. 20 It was stated Wednesday that an announcement on the extension of the Tanforan meeting would be made the latter part of this week. A committee representing the horsemen waited on the management Tuesday with a petition that the meeting be extended, and it is understood that the Pacific Coast Breeders Association and associates favor such an extension, not only to lessen the burden of the owners, who, if Tanforan closed on October 29, would be forced to lay their horses up for almost two months, but .also to give additional employment to the many now on the track payroll.
