END OF CANADIAN SEASON Dufferin Park Meeting Finale in Dominion Gay Parisian Triumphs in Days Headliner. TORONTO, Ont., Oct. 22. The curtain was rung down on the Canadian racing season with the running of todays program at Dufferin Park. One of the greatest crowds, if not the largest, of the fall term was on hand to bid farewell to the thoroughbreds until next spring. The races were run under ideal conditions, summer-like weather prevailing. The best offering on the closing days program was the fifth. This brought together eight of the best Canadian-breds in training, under claiming conditions. Gay Parisian, from the Erindale Stable, delivered one of his best efforts to triumph. Mrs. E. Glasscos consistent Mr. Gaiety raced to second place, while Wee Toddler II. took third from George E. Miller, the "Western Canada champion. Little time was lost at the barrier and Wee Toddler II. showed the most early speed. Gay Parisian, showing more early speed than usual, was racing along in second place, and George E. Miller headed the others. Mr. Giaety was well-placed and Aimers had him under a nice hold. There was nc material change in the running positions for the opening six furlongs. It was then that the pacemaker surrendered command to the Erindale colorbearer. Aimers had called upon the Glassco gelding for his best. George E. Miller had been placed under punishment but raced into close quarters. Once in front Gay Parisian soon drew clear of his opponents. Mr. Gaiety had succeeded in racing into second place as the field straightened out for the run to the finish. Mozer kept hustling Gay Parisian right along through the stretch and reached the finish with a couple of lengths to spare. Mr. Gaiety, though making a bold effort, was not good enough, though easily taking second place by a length from Wee Toddler II. The latter, in turn, barely lasted to defeat George E. Miller for the show position. ; - ; ;
