THREE 816 FEATURES j ON LATONIAS CARD ---4 LATONIA, Ky., Oct. 22 The current autumn meeting of the Latonia Jockey Club approaches the end of the first half of the twenty-eight day session with a very remarkable showing for the opening ten days and with patrons and enthusiasts looking ahead to- the 0,000 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, . to be run Saturday; the 0,000- Latonia Championship Stakes; for three-year-olds, booked for renewal a. week later, and the popular two miles and one-quarter Latonia Cup Handicap, on November 12, closing day of the meeting. .The .Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes will attract a number of the eastern juvenile stars, along with that clever western filly Technique, winner of the recent Breeders Futurity for H. P. Headley, her owner and breeder. Caterwaul and The Parb will head the invaders and carry the C. V. Whitney colors which Technique lowered in the Futurity, and others from the seaboard may include W. S. Kilmers Sun Archer and the best available eligible in the W. R. Coe stable. The Championship, which is decided at the long route of one mile and three-quarters, may prove a three-cornered battle between M. L. Schwartz Gusto, N. W. Churchs Gallant Sir and C. V. Whitneys Mad Frump. Cee Tee, owned by C. T. Fisher, and R. M. Eastmans Cathop are the principal candidates on the grounds. Conditions for the Latonia Cup have been revised and this season the race will becar-ried out as a late closing affair, entries closing within forty-eight hours of the race. It is open to three-year-olds and older performers, and is likely to attract a-well-matched field.
