PREPARE AT AGUA CAUENTE Martin Nathanson Completes Arrangements for Thoroughbreds. Shipments Start Toward Border Course From Maryland, Kentucky and Tan-foran Predict Revival of Interest. AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, Nov. 15. Agua Caliente was astir with activity today. Judge Martin Nathanson, newly appointed official for the revamped and rejuvenated Agua Caliente Jockey Club, was in charge of the preparations to receive the great influx of thoroughbreds already enroute and about to start west from Maryland and Kentucky, and south from Tanforan. Hundreds of crack performers at each of these points are scheduled to be shipped to Agua Caliente for the long winter session, which will get under way Christmas day. All signs point to a great revival of the turf sport at Agua Caliente. With Joseph Schenck, president of the United Artists Corporation, taking over the helm and proceeding to a general house cleaning in the management, the prospects for renewed in terest in the Mexican track, both from the general public of Southern California and the sporting fraternity of the country at large, seems inevitable. The motion picture magnate has enlisted the aid of several officials of the largest and most important tracks in the Chicago and New York circuits, men whose reputation and character is beyond reproach or question. The public places great and deserved faith in these officials. Schencks connections at Hollywood are deemed certain to draw much patronage from the movie colony, and from Los Angeles business and financial quarters. One indication of the bright prospects for a successful meeting is noted in the ranks of the horsemen. These gentlemen of the turf, made shrewd by long experience in "picking spots," have been clamoring for stable room at Agua Caliente. They believe the sport is due for a come-back at the border course. More than 1,100 applications have been approved by Christopher J. Fitzgerald, new director of racing, from his New York office, and it is reported that nearly as many more have been either turned down or held in abeyance. The policy is to sift out the stables, the horses and the owners, to the end that the best available material of men and steeds may be selected for the sport. The list of stall applications already approved follows: G. D. Adams, 8; Elmer Albright, 4; Marvin Allen, 13; Mrs. A. L. Austin, 3; W. F. Axton, 15; A. A. Baroni, 15; L. C. Barnes, 4; Mrs. J. L.
