SWEET ONE, outrun for half a mile, moved into second place, but was no match for the winner. LAST ATTEMPT showed good speed for three-quarters, but tired when punished. THE FRENCH ROSE, a factor throughout, held on gamely. MORSUN, under mild pressure, took the lead in the stretch, but tired badly in the drive. MIKE REYNOLDS had no mishaps. MISS FRISKY quit. The others were never serious factors. LUGEN LUGGAGE, fractious at the post and away well, was under mild pressure while forcing the pace, overtook ODD STAR a sixteenth out and outgamed the latter in a hard drive. ODD STAR raced into a commanding lead soon after the start, maintained a good advantage to the final eighth, but tired and gave way to the winner. SWEET LASSIE failed to improve her position under hard riding. LONG JOHN dropped out of it early and aoparently disliked the going. BUTTER BALL showed early speed.
