1 JAMAICA TURF NOTES I « _* Bill Fletcher, who acted as cashier for the late Jimmy Jackson for many years, died suddenly at his home 1234 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, Thursday. He attended the races during the afternoon and later in the day complained of feeling ill. He was removed to his home, where he died shortly after arriving. He was born in De Soto, Mo., sixty-one years ago and formerly lived in St. Louis. During the Spanish-American War he served in Cuba. Funeral services will be held on Sunday from Fairchilds Undertaking establishment on Lefferts Avenue, near Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn. Mrs. Edward Dunn, wife of the well known oralizer, died at her residence, 390 Riverside Drive, Thursday night. Mass will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 oclock at the Holy Name Church, on 107th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, and interment will be in Providence, R. I. Among the clubhouse visitors today were John McCooey of Brooklyn and Frank Murphy, chairman of the state racing commission. Albert C. Bostwick made his first appearance of the local season. John Hay "Jock" Whitney was a Belmont Park visitor yesterday morning and watched the trials of several of his two-year-olds. The E. R. Bradley stable on the hill at Belmont Park was bedded down and in readiness for the arrival of the mam division of the stable from Louisville, in charge r t | Dick Thompson.
