GALLANT SIR DUE MONDAY HOMEWOOD, 111., May 20.— Headed by the "giant killer," Plucky Play, and the Latonia Championship and Agua Caliente Handicap winner, Gallant Sir, the powerful Northway Stable of N. W. Church is due at Washington Park Monday morning. In addition to these handicap stars, Northgalis, an American Derby eligible, and twelve others will be in the shipment. Under present plans, Gallant Sir will be seen under colors in the renewal of the Robert Sweitzer Handicap. There is some talk, however, of a match race between the Agua Caliente winner and C. V. Whitneys Equipoise. Reports from the coast are that Mr. Church is desirous of matching the son of Sir Gallahad III. against the Whitney crack and word from the East regarding Equipoise is awaited. Plucky Play defeated Equipoise in the Stars and Stripes last summer.
