The latter worked his way up on the outside. -MISS CORINNE, slow to get going and in close quarters until leaving the back stretch, worked her way up and closed gamely. WAR BANNER was hard ridden. SHAVINGS was gaining fast at the end. TUT TUT was never a factor. MARCH STEP quit fast after being close up. NED O., away ia a tangle, saved ground and finished fast. ENGLISH KNIGHT, hard urged to take command, tired. SILVER-DALE was in close quarters most of the way. WISE COUNT quit, as did BROAD MEADOWS. BAND WAGON, allowed to drop out of contention when leaving the back stretch, came a°;ain, but hung right at the end. STAR PORTER tired after five-eighths. BUBBLER was outrun.
