1 CLAIMS AND SALES 1 . : : 1 During his brief stay in New York to se--cure additional racing material for his- stable that is being raced in Canada, Arthur Hullcoat sold the good juvenile Stocks to Shelby Burch and he was loaded Friday morning for Saratoga. Stocks was unbeaten in his two starts in Canada. L. Gentry replenished his stable by acquiring Deduce out of the sixth race Thursday at Hamilton for his entered price of ,750. This is the second performer of the R. H. McLaughlin stable that has been secured via the claiming route by that owner this season. The other was Royal Guard. Five claims were lodged for the services of C. V. Whitneys Good Guess, winner of the closing event at Hamilton Thursday and in the draw Arthur Hullcoat secured the performer for ,000. Leon Reeder acquired the plater Squeaky from J. G. Rolland at private sale at Dorval. Edward Trotter made his second claim of the meeting and the third in a week when he acquired Mighty Atom out of the eighth race at Coney Island Thursday for ,000. J A. J. Bellew deposited ,000 in the claim box Friday and took Lady of Grace out of the seventh race at Hawthorne from Hi Oots.
