TREY WINS JUBILEE HANDICAP Badame Colorbearer Displays Best Speed in Duff erin Parks Head liner Offering TORONTO Ont June 15 Trey four yearold urisexed son of Sir Barton Resting Time which has been carrying on success ¬ fully in the handicap division this season for Mrs J Badame snowed his best turn of speed to score a victory in the featured Jubilee Handicap a test of seven furlongs which served as the bright and particular attraction for the inaugural of the Metro ¬ politan Jockey Club at Dufferin Park today todayOpposed Opposed by five other seasoned perform ¬ ers and under the capable L Machado the victor blazed his way to a frontrunning triumph and popular victory for a crowd that filled every available seat and over ¬ flowed into the center field where all ac ¬ commodations including betting booths were provided providedIn In the feature Sweepstaff from the H C Hatch stable which was making his debut for the season chased the winner to the conclusion of the sprint and his effort con ¬ sidering his first outing was a splendid performance At the end Trey had an ad ¬ vantage of three lengths over the Hatch colt while six lengths back Canterboy from the J E Smallman stable took third over the three others that included Heiress Worthing and Baydrop BaydropBeaten Beaten away from the starting point by Sweepstaff the Badame sprinter soon forced his way into command and thereafter under the Tiding of Machado was good enough to hold sway until the finish Sweepstaff easily mastered Canterboy for second place while the others never bettered their positions at any stage Ideal conditions prevailed for the opening and several thrills were provided by the spectacular racing that developed during the course of the afternoon
