AT POST— 3* minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. FREE AGAIN was rushed into command after the start, showed good speed, shook off DIXIE DORA and outlasted SPEECH. The latter worked her way up on the outside, made a determined bid when called upon, but hung at the finish. DIXIE DORA, well up from the start, faltered at the end. JOAN F. finished fast from a slow beginning. VALE OF TEARS raced well. BLUE CYCLONE raced on the outside all the -way. Scratched— 12906s Royal Vixen, 108. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third easily. WHAT HAVE YOU followed the pace under steadying restraint, moved up with determination when called upon, swerved in front of GASTON going to the final fence and drew away at the finish. GASTON improved his position when called upon, assumed command after taking the final fence, but could not withstand the winner. HERMITAGE made a bad landing at the twelfth fence, recovered slowly and outfinished SID. The latter set the pace under steadving restraint and faltered badly at the end. Scratched— 70790 Trews, 154. BULLFINCH finished well. DREAMY ISLE showed a flash of early speed on the inside. SILVER LAGOON, fractious at the post, broke from outside the stalls. EXHIBIT, outrun in the early stages, improved his position under urging and finished well to outlast ESPOSA. The latter, well up from the start, had no mishaps. OPEN RANGE quit badly.
