FRENCH PRINCESS, quick to begin and well rated, was under mild restraint until reaching the final quarter, where she withstood SIS ALICES rush after gradually wearing down RAMROD. SIS ALICE, slow to begin, saved some ground early, but came out in the stretch and, closing with fine speed, was strongest in the late stages. RAMROD rushed to the lead on the inside, increased his margin under pressure approaching the stretch and continued with good courage to the final eighth before weakening. ICEBERG showed a good effort. JANE RACHEL tired suddenly in the last eighth. RAYMOND displayed early speed. CORNER BOY lacked speed. Scratched 24126 Oican, 113; 25253 Belgian Boy, 108. DRESSY, fractious at the post, was rushed into contention in the first three-sixteenths, dropped back slightly on the turn, but came with a rush after straightening out in the stretch and won with speed in reserve. WISE BEAUTY, away slowly and forced to lose much ground when improving her position, raced into a short lead under strong pressure in the stretch and held on fairly well, but was no match for the winner. NAVARRE shook off light early interference, was under strong riding in the final three-eighths and held on well. CRULIA, fractious at the post, met interference on the stretch turn. TONEYS GIRL, away fast, failed to hold on, was crowded back on the turn and closed with a rush on the outside. CARESAWAY raced evenly. QUILT PIECES quit badly. JOANEY B., hustled into command and shaken up on the stretch turn where she increased her advantage, swerved out slightly in the drive, was drawing away from ROLANDA at the end. but was disqualified. The latter, a strong factor from the start and on the outside in the 1! ivo during which she suffered light interference, bore over badly near the end and pulled up very lame. CAMP COOK, badly outrun for a half mile, came with a rush thereafter. YANKEE WATERS, jostled about in the opening quarter, improved its position gradually when clear and finished resolutelv. but failed to hold CAMP COOK. HAROLD WILEY closed with a rush. THORNBY quit. GILBERT ELSTON raced very wide and made up ground in the stretch. MISS MELODY had no mishaps. GREENSPRING LAD failed to rally when hard urged. BLUE GAUNTLET began sluggislily. RUSHAWAY, fractious at the post but away fast, forced the early pace under strong restraint, drew into a good lead approaching the final quarter and, shaken up several times, pulled away steadily thereafter. HOLLYROOD, forced to race wide, was under strong riding after three-quarters and, holding on gamely, wore down BOW AND ARROW in the final fifty yards. The latter, on the inside throughout and having good speed Irom the start, readily submitted to the winner, but held on with good courage though also failing to withstand HOLLYROOD. PRINCE FELLOW was under vigorous riding after three-quarters and tired in the last quarter. HOLL IMAGE had no mishaps. SILAS showed little. FELWYN, well rated, did not threaten the winner, but held on well in a eood effort. HIGH DIVER stood light pressure gamely and outstayed BIBBIES CHOICE. The latter closed fast. PRE WAR tired. PASTRY, on the inside throughout, held on with lino courage and was slowly getting to the winner. CHALK EYE, probably best and taken back repeatedly, closed with a rush on the extreme outside. CAMPAGNA held on well in her good effort. ALLTOI made a mild bid under pressure soon after reaching the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. BYRDINE never threatened. Overweight Jessie Dear, 2 pounds.
