LAT0NIA TURF NOTES Apprentice T. Dickenson, who is affiliated with the Rosedale Stable, is among the riders who will ride at the Latonia meeting. The youngster can scale 100 pounds and, according to the opinion of several veteran horsemen, Dickenson should develop into a good rider. Among the agent who will book mounts for jockeys that obiained a license is Hubert Taylor, who will look after the engagements of jockey Paul Roberts and the veteran Lee Canfield. Roberts is under call to J. O. Keene, while Canfield is affiliated with the stable of J. W. Parrish, which is being handled by J. G. Goode. Cabe Rogers, nationally-known docker, checked in today from his home at Lexington, Ky., and joined the staff of timers at Latonia. - G. H. Marlman, veteran horseman, returns to the sport as an owner, having purchased Isaiah, Stealingaway and Panalong from J. S. Klein of Chicago. Their conditioning will be directed by W. J. Marlman who also has Oican under his care. The latter, which broke down badly at New Orleans last winter, is about ready to return to competition. Jockey J. Mayer, who is under call to C. H. Ferguson, is an addition to the riding colony here and probably will be seen in action on opening day.
