LEE HASTINGS, slow to attain his best stride, closed fast in the final stages. TELEMACHUS tired after displaying good speed to the final eighth. The others were never dangerous. BROWN WITCH began slowly, was widely outrun to the stretch, came fast in the drive and finished strongest. ROBERT S. raced well under a hustling ride. JUDGE BARKLEY, on the outside throughout, finished resolutely. NOMA F. quit. PENRILL had early speed. PATSYETTE contributed to the post delay. BROADSIDE KING, fractious at the post and unseating his rider, showed nothing. LAWYER BRIGADE took command early, set the pace under clever rating, responded gamely when subjected to strong pressure and outfinished NESSUS. The latter improved its position gradually, offered good contention and was slowly wearing the winner down. ALSANG, never far back, closed gamely. WEGOWAY gave an even effort under strong handling. CLOVERPORT tired in the stretch. CHRYSOSTLE improved its position in the stretch, but was no threat. FOR ROMANCE quit. EMVEE, forced back sharply at the first turn, failed to be dangerous thereafter. REGALITY attained a contending position caily, maintained it under occasional pressure, came to. the firmer part of the track in the Stretch, overhauled the leadeis and won under hand riding. WOWO rushed to the front soon after the start, was racing strongly in front when she swerved to the outside inside the final eighth and impeded BRIGHT LAND, for which she was disqualified. BRIGHT LAND, a strong factor most of the way, failed to keep pace after encountering interference in the stretch. STARRY FLAG tired after three eighths. The others were outrun.
