HARLEM CLAIMING STAKES Nine Named for Feature of Card at Belmont Park Today Gross Value ,600. NEW YORK, N. Y, May 25 The feature offering of the Westchester Association at Belmont Park tomorrow afternoon affords an opportunity for the plater, when there will be a renewal of the Harlem Claiming Stakes, a gallop of a mile. Nine have been named through the entry box and with all of them going to the post the prize will gross ,600. j Of those named, George Odom will send out two in the Arden Farm Stables Quel Jeu and Mrs. W. Plunkett Stewarts Chance Ray. Gallant Prince will race for William Woodward and Black Buddy in the hope of the Greentree Stable. Each of these has shown a degree of class and each will have a following. Mrs. F. Ambrose Clarks three-year-old gelding Goldeneye is another that has shown becoming speed in races, and Samuel D. Riddles Big Blaze colt, War Emblem, is another that has moved up to the engagement nicely. The T. H. Somerville silks will be carried by Treford, and lightweights of the party are Mrs. A. Phillips Jair and Piccolo, which will carry the light blue and brown cap of C. V. Whitney. Altogether, the field seems to be a nicely balanced one and the running should be a worthy one.
