MRS. SHELLEY FUNERAL RITES LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 1. Funeral services and burial rites were conducted here this morning for Mrs. Emma Roberts Shelley, wife and mother of the well known racing officials, who died Tuesday at Battle Creek, Mich., after a long illness. Interment took place in Calvary Cemetery. Churchill Downs officials and many friends of the family attended the funeral. Mrs. Shelley was the wife of William H. Shelley, racing secretary at Churchill Downs for many years, and the mother of Robert S. Shelley and William J. Shelley, also prominent in racing.
