TRAINING AT KEENELAND Main Man Works Mile in 1:44 Old Nassau Covers Distance in the Same Time.. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 1. One of the most impressive workouts yet seen this spring in this vicinity was noted at Kceneland where Main Man, the Kentucky Derby hope of J. B. Respcss breezed a mile in 1:443. Working by himself and well in hand all the way, the son of Hildur and Rose Mist went the opening quarter in :25, half mile in :51 and three-quarters in 1:18.- At no time was he permitted his head and he was hardly blowing when he pulled up. Training conditions again were good as they have been all week and the track was fast and dry. No effort has been made to soak the track since a layer of sand was placed on it and the sand has been mixing in with the old soil gradually. Old Nassau, the Hal Price Headley Derby candidate, also went a mile in the same time as Main Man, but he finished his effort in handy fashion.
