HUSKIE BOY rushed into a clear lead early, increased his advantage under light urging and won easily. BUCK-ON hustled along from the start, failed to menace the winner, but held the others safe. MAD SHIRLEY, in close quarters early, saved ground when clear and finished strongly. IANTHE, chief cause of the delay, began fast and raced wide. LIBERTY FLIGHT made up ground. CALEB, away well but shuffled back early, improved its position fast on the outside, responded to strong urging when reaching the lead and won with something to spare. WITSON sprinted into a clear lead early, was steadied along until challenged, gave way to the winner entering the stretch and came again in the last stages. MISS DALLAS saved ground when racing forwardly, but tired in the last stages. SPLURGE, outrun for nine-sixteenths, closed with a rush. LIGHTHEELED tired. MODESTO, permitted to drop back when outrun, came again in the drive, but tired fast in the final eighth. EREBUS was done early. LUGEN LUGGAGE and THE DARB showed nothing. LADINO. slow to begin and outrun for five-sixteenths, worked his way forward steadily and finished strongly. WAX raced evenly. BONNIE PAN quit. CARBINES CO.MET refused to break with his field. COMBAHEE, outrun for a half mile, was steered to the outside for the drive and closed with a rush. ALL DEVIL tired after reaching contention. LUNSFORD was done after five-sixteenths.
