WIDENER WINS IN FRANCE Joseph E Widener American sportsman scored a noteworthy victory as the spring race season began in France this year when his threeyearold colt Victrix defeated some of the top horses of his age in the Prix Edgard de la Charme a stakes worth 63356 francs to the winner The race was run at the St Cloud course and trailing Victrix whose dam is a daughter of Man o War were such stars as Chenonceaux three quarter brother to Brantome1 and One I Love winner of the Nice Grand Prix
