C K G BILLINGS FUNERAL FUNERALHELD HELD IN SANTA BARBARA Word has been received of the death of Cornelius K G Billings in California Mr Billings was seventysix years old and at one time was a power on the American turf and also in breeding circles circlesBrought Brought into thoroughbred racing in 1912 through the Piping Rock Subscription races Mr Billings passed the sport of trotting horses and entered the new field whole ¬ heartedly He purchased the farm of Charles F Senff known as Curls Neck Farm in Henrico County Virginia and bred many noted racers The farm was modern in every way and had a mile training track used in developing the young produce and early training of the older members of the racing stable stableMost Most noted of the horses to carry the colors of the Chicago millionaire was Omar Khayyam which won the Kentucky Derby of 1917 1917Funeral Funeral services were held Saturday at Santa Barbara and the remains shipped to Chicago for burial at Graceland Cemetery
