ANOTHER ANTIRACING BILL AUSTIN Texas May 11 The Texas Sen ¬ ate now has on its calendar another anti racing bill one which was intended simply to make betting on greyhound racing illegal but to which an amendment covering betting on horse racing was attached It was passed in the House on Monday As there appears to be no chance even to bring up the Brad ¬ bury bill the original antiracing measure during the session which will run over its allotted time after midnight tonight the new Harrell measure would seem not to have a chance and the author of the amendment was accused of tacking on the rider to pre ¬ vent action against greyhound racing which is countenanced in some localities but thrives in none This he denied and pro ¬ duced the record to show he voted against horse racing in the House
