MAJ LOUIS BEARD STEWARD AT ARLINGTON PARK COURSE Maj Louis Beard racing manager for the Whitneys will be a steward at the thirty day meeting at Arlington Park here June 28 to July 31 inclusive it was announced yesterday Major Beard who supervises the breeding farms and all racing activities of Mrs Payne Whitney John Hay Jock Whit ¬ ney and C V Sonny Whitney today wired that he had the enthusiastic approval of the Whitneys in accepting the Arlington invita ¬ tion tionMajor Major Beard will be Arlingtons presiding steward Chris FitzGerald will act for the Illinois Racing Commission The third stew ¬ ard will be Admiral Cary T Grayson serving two weeks Arthur Hancock famous Ken ¬ tucky breeder serving two weeks with another famous horseman serving the fifth week of the meeting
