RIDDLE LEADER AT PIMLICO War Admirals Owner Wins Total of 46450 at Baltimore Victory In Preakness Gives War Admiral MoneyWinning Honors for Meet ¬ ing and for Season The Pimlico meeting with the Preakness as its highlight was one of the outstanding sessions of the spring racing season in this country The threeyearold special was fraught with considerable interest because it was the second meeting between Samuel D Riddles Kentucky Derby winner and prob ¬ able threeyearold champion of 1937 War Admiral and Pompoon last years juvenile champion The race served to confirm the Derby result because War Admiral for the second time defeated the Louchheim star although not quite as decisively as in the Louisville classic classicWar War Admiral by virtue of his Preakness winnings was the leading money winner of the meeting and the 45600 he won in that race made him the leading moneywinning horse of the year in the country the son of Man o War displacing Rosemont Calu ¬ met JDick
