R LEIGHS CANADIAN POSTS Engaged by Cattarinich as Steward Stewardfor for Blue Bonnets Dorval and andConnaught Connaught Park Meetingsv AURORA 111 May 22 Many horsemen who campaigned their stables at Aurora have signified their intention of shipping to Can ¬ ada for the fortytwo days of racing split up into three meetings of fourteen days each at Blue Bonnets Dorval and Conriaught Park ParkBlue Blue Bonnets is the first of the Montreal meetings to open beginning on June 19 and concluding on July 5 with the Kings Plate one of the most historic and oldest stake races on the North American continent as its closing feature featureAfter After an interval of four days Dorval opens on July 10 The scene of racing fol lowing Dorval then shifts from Montreal to Ottawa where Connaught Park opens on July daysJoe 31 and runs for thirteen more days Joe Cattarinich announced at the conclu ¬ sion of the Aurora meeting probably the most successful in the recent history of the track that he had engaged Richard Leigh to act as presiding steward and racing sec ¬ retary at the three meetings outlined above Leo Dandurand who supervised the mutuels at Aurora will have that post at the Cana ¬ dian meetings and is leaving tonight for Toronto to do missionary work at the Wood ¬ bine Park meeting now in progress George Richey will be the starter at Connaught Blue Bonnets and Dorval DorvalDandurand Dandurand before his departure ex ¬ pressed his pleasure at the success of the Aurora meeting
