OVER 5000 AT AKSARBEN Large Crowd Out for First Saturday SaturdayRacing Racing at Omahas Grand GrandRace Race Course OMAHA Neb May 29 AkSarBen enter ¬ tained a crowd of upward of 5000 persons for the first Saturday of the annual turf season Although the weather was quite warm the patrons congregated in the en ¬ closed mutuel ring between races to wager on their favorite horses and those fortunate enough to select winners in the early races received liberal prices The track was fast fastFor For the first time since the installation of the camera finish a dead heat came about at AkSarBen Field Friday afternoon when the electrical eye was unable to separate Actdine a 45 to 1 shot and Suspension a shortpriced favorite The place payoff on Actdine was twice as much as the payoff to win winOne One of the surprises of the meeting is the failure of the powerful Hunt Beezley Boeing string to win races They have started a number of horses but during the first two days had won only one purse and got the dead heat split of another with Suspension The Omaha track was somewhat of a jinx to Earl Beezleys stable last year also as his horses were beaten a number 0f JlPSfis Curing the meeting
