TRAINING MOVES FOR DERBYS Grey Count Eagle Pass and Over Overthe the Top in Good Moves at atWashington Washington Park HOMEWOOD 111 May 29 Training for their more important immediate engage ¬ ments including the Latonia Derby on June 12 and the American Derby here a week later Valdina Farms Eagle Pass E E Fogelsons Grey Count Warren Wrights Privileged and Mrs William H Fursts Over the Top turned in splended trials under fine conditions at Washington Park this morning morningThe The Texasowned Eagle Pass which ex ¬ hibited real quality at Churchill Downs though he was not named for the Kentucky Derby was sent the longest distance trainer J J Flanigan putting him through a stiff test over a mile and a furlong With Cross S going with him for a mile which was negotiated in 141 Eagle Pass accom ¬ plished the full distance in 154 He was in hand throughout while his stablemate fin ¬ ished under a drive driveGrey Grey Count winner of the Louisiana Derby and second to Case Ace in the Illinois Derby reeled off a mile in 140 handily and the performance was duplicated by Privi ¬ leged The latter Chicagoowned threeyear old has not been seen under colors this sea ¬ son but his training indicates that he is ready for his 1937 debut debutWith With Tranquillity Farms The Runner pac ¬ ing him for the first threequarters which they ran in the excellent time of 114 Over the Top galloped seven furlongs in 127 but was under light pressure in doing so His companion also was shaken up in his fast move
