WAR ADMIRAL WORKS i IMPRESSIVE MILE r NEW YORK, N. Y., April 26. Unruffled by the arrival here Monday of Charles S. Howards Seabiscuit, his opponent in the 00,000 Special race here on Decoration Day, Samuel D. Riddles War Admiral swung through his most impressive trial since his arrival from Florida, after winning the 0,-000 Widener Challenge Cup by going a mile in :13, :26, :39, :52, 1:05, 1:18, 1:31, 1:43and, eased up for another eighth of a mile in 1:58 this morning. Under stout restraint most of the way from Tommy Davies, veteran Glen Riddle exercise boy, War Admiral was allowed to travel over the furlongs in :13 for the first seven-eighths. Davies only let him run for a furlong in :12 to reach the mile and then eased him up almost to a walk for the final furlong. Trainer George Conway expressed himself completely satisfied with the work. It was witnessed by a large group of horsemen and photographers. Horsemen were enthused by the move, particularly liking the fresh, eager appearance of the lour-year-old son of Man o War.
