IRON ORE was sent into command at the start, was taken back when outrun on the back stretch, improved her position steadily rounding the stretch turn and finished with a rush to wear down SQUIRREL in the final drive. The latter, hard ridden around the first turn, assumed command when settled on the back stretch, saved ground thereafter and held on well. TIME ME worked her way up steadily on the outside, but could not menace the leaders in the stretch. MISS DIGNITY was well up and under restraint early, but failed to improve her position through the stretch. VEILED LADY trailed to the . far turn. BEAUEDWINA quit badly after going seven-eighths. SLAVE CHARM, hard ridden from the, start, moved up courageously in the stretch and finished with determination to wear down EVENING LIGHT in the final drive. The latter broke fast and showed speed while saving ground, swerved under pressure at the eighth post and hung in the final drive. DONITA M. raced forwardly from the start, responded when urged at the far turn, but could not overhaul the leaders. STEPACOLA showed an even effort throughout. BONNIE VIXEN finished well. LONG WINDED raced on the outside rounding the turns. SECOND HEAVEN raced greenly. DOUBLE TALK was in close quarters at the far turn. LADY BETHYL began slowly. NOBLE BOY, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, made a determined bid in the stretch run, but was not good enough. BELLUM closed fast on the outside from a slow beginning. RITORNO, well up all the way, had no mishaps. GOLD QUEST lacked early speed, but made up some ground. GOLD BUCKLE could not keep up. ENFIN showed a flash of speed, but quit. The latter raced forwardly all the way, came around the leaders entering the stretch and was going fast at the end. SUNPHANTOM began slowly and, outrun in the first part, worked his way up steadily and finished well. KNOWING showed good early speed while saving ground, but faltered steadily in the final eighth. ABBOTS HOUR tired after setting the pace for three-quarters. ROYAL TREAD was rushed off his feet to reach the pacemaker and flattened out. IVORY TIP had 110 excuse.
