MACK DISCUSSES NIGHT GAMES PHILADELPHIA Pa Oct 19 Connie Mack manager of the Philadelphia Ath ¬ letics today reiterated his announcement of support of night baseball for the American League but declared he would not initiate any movement in that direction at the an nual league meeting in December DecemberIf If any other club puts it up to the league Ill go along and support it Mack asserted However Im not going to be the one to make the proposal I feel any team that wants night baseball should have it itIm Im not sure that wed play night games at Shibe Park next year even if the league sanctions it I would have to find out how many lights wed need and what theyd cost costNight Night baseball at Shibe Park would be complicated by the fact Mack pointed out I that the Phillies now also use the field after having abandoned their own grounds at Baker Bowl last summer summerWe We have never discussed the subject with the Phillies the veteran pilot said
